GOSHEN, Ind. — The Window is excited to announce that, through the extraordinary generosity of donors, businesses, churches, foundations, and community partners, the organization has reached its $300,000 fundraising benchmark. The Window will reopen to the public on Monday, November 2nd, 2026.
During the stabilization period, The Window improved program efficiency, strengthened financial processes, increased oversight, and established stronger cash controls. Staffing and operations were also evaluated to ensure the organization reopens responsibly and is positioned for greater long-term sustainability.
The Window will reopen all programs with a more focused public schedule designed to serve clients consistently and operate sustainably.

The Window has also added leadership capacity to support reopening and strengthen the organization for the future. Erica Bailey will serve as Transitional Executive Director, working alongside Josh Varab, who will continue providing essential organizational leadership as Director of Operations. Josh will lead daily operations, programs, staff, scheduling, and facilities, while Erica focuses on fundraising, community relationships, strategic planning, and organizational development.
This collaborative structure provides continuity and stability while allowing the Board time to thoughtfully determine the organization’s long-term executive leadership.
Reaching $300,000 is an important milestone, but the work is not finished. Continued financial support, volunteers, and community partnerships will be essential to sustain these programs and keep The Window moving forward.
The Window is deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this reopening possible. Ongoing community support will help sustain this progress and ensure that neighbors in need can find food, care, dignity, and hope at The Window for years to come.
